IAZZA: THE VENETO: ... fertile land. The countryside of Treviso is a recurrent theme in Piazza's graphic work, as if wanting to preserve its ephemeral existence which is more and more endangered by industrial development.
His art brings to life expanses of wheatfields, before and after reaping, which are blended with the sky in the hazy heat of July, vines full of leaves enhanced by copper sulphate, triumphant in the transparence of September, baroque corn-stacks, ornaments of the frozen earth: worlds of a yearning love, but always filtered through the reality of the moment. (Luciana Larcher Crosato)
